Philip Hassler - Candidate for MISD Board Place 2

Philip Hassler and his family have called McKinney home since 2016. He and his wife, Sara, have two children in MISD schools. Their daughter is a sophomore at McKinney High School and their son is a sixth grader at Faubion Middle School.

Philip was appointed to the MISD School Board for Place 2 in February of 2020, replacing board member Kenneth Ussery.

Philip and Sara are firm believers in the importance of a quality public education. A community's education system greatly impacts the decision families and businesses make when choosing where to live. With this in mind, Philip is committed to ensuring our McKinney School System continues to thrive and positively impact both its students and community.

Philip holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
